I wasn’t really sure what to expect from BusinessCloud’s Opening Up On Mental Health event. There’s recently been a lot of talk about wellbeing and mental health in the workplace, but these conversations can sometimes seem a little simplistic or surface-level.
You might have heard that it’s Volunteers’ Week from 1st – 7th June; a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people who volunteer with charities and social enterprises across the UK. In light of these celebrations, we’ve put together a list of some organisations we work with at Fourth Day which benefit from the work of volunteers.
Well not enough, according to BusinessCloud’s Manchester Tech (#mcrtech) event this morning. The view from host offices KPMG was fab by the way - although as FT journalist Michael Dempsey pointed out on Twitter, I appear to have captured some sort of alien life form in my photography.

Last Friday our Manchester team headed down to the Pro-Manchester Bee Social Conference. The event focused on networking – both online and offline – and as our work revolves around building relationships we were really keen to get stuck in!
Last month saw the return of Business Rocks – Manchester’s tech, music and investment summit. Returning for the second time, this year’s conference was bigger and better with this year’s headliner – Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak – drawing in all of Manchester’s business community.
