The Ethical Supply Chain Program selects Fourth Day as UK and International PR partner

The Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP), a non-profit leader in social compliance and labour standards for ethical supply chains, has selected B2B PR agency, Fourth Day, to manage its UK and international PR and thought leadership programmes.

ESCP, previously known as ICTI Ethical Toy Program, is known across the globe for its robust Supplier Certification Program, alongside its Social Impact Assessment, Environmental Assessment, supplier capability and worker wellbeing initiatives. Over the course of its 20-year history, its programs have been adopted by organisations including Walmart, Mattel, Lego, DHL Group, and The Walt Disney Company.

The organisation decided to appoint a PR agency, following its major rebrand as it continues to broaden its programs to new product categories and geographies.

Fourth Day is tasked with promoting the organisation’s quest to champion integrity, transparency and sustainability across international supply chains.

The agency was selected, following a competitive pitch, for its relevant supply chain experience, as well as its proven track record in delivering results-driven thought leadership campaigns.

“ESCP’s mission is to facilitate communication, certification and cooperation between manufacturers, suppliers, licensors and retailers worldwide”, says Rachel Chesters, director at Start Communication and marketing consultant for the Ethical Supply Chain Program. “We selected Fourth Day based on their expertise in both the manufacturing and supply chain sectors, and their extensive B2B communications experience”.

“ESCP has respect, fairness and inclusivity at its core”, adds Nikki Scrivener, director and co-founder of Fourth Day. “Together with its members it strives to create a better life for workers worldwide, and we’re honoured to be able to play a part in promoting that vision.”

“Achieving a higher level of supply chain transparency – that stands up to the scrutiny of customers, employees, investors and legislation – is essential, not just a nice to have”, says Carmel Giblin, CEO of ESCP. “We’re delighted to be working alongside Fourth Day to promote the work of ESCP in making this a reality for global businesses”.
