A charity band night at Sound Control, Manchester will take place in May to raise money and awareness for Byte Night; the tech and business sectors’ annual sleep out in support of Action for Children.
Being held on Friday 2nd May at 7pm, the event has been co-organised by Fourth Day PR and PZ Cussons. A host of Manchester-based businesses have been getting involved to offer their support, with branding and digital agency AHOY designing tickets and posters and Brother managing print requirements. A number of bands have given up their time to provide entertainment – The Guitar Superheroes, Navigation Road and guest DJ Justine Alderman will all be performing on the night.
Byte Night will take place in Manchester in October 2014 and will see hundreds of individuals and teams from across the technology and business community spend a night under the stars to raise money for Action for Children.
Nikki Scrivener, director of Fourth Day PR and Byte Night board member said: “I took part in Byte Night’s London event a few years ago and was delighted when it came to Manchester last year. There’s a strong heritage of tech and digital companies in the North West with an amazing sense of community. The initiative has gathered huge support already with £84,329 raised from last year’s efforts.
“The Band Night will kick-start our fundraising efforts this year with all ticket proceeds going towards Action for Children. We’re looking forward to having a great night and raising as much money as possible ahead of the countdown to the main event in October.’’
