Fourth
Day is really an extension of the Livingstone team. They
are always challenging us with new ideas and jumping on
opportunities to get Livingstone's name out in the press.
Their professionalism, enthusiasm and expertise drives
everything they do for us and makes them a great agency
to work with. We are very happy with our decision to work
with
Fourth Day.

Fourth Day offers
a wide range of services to help businesses communicate effectively.
Whether your organisation is a start-up seeking greater name recognition
from prospective customers, an established company striving to strike
the right note of authority in the financial markets or a specialist
vendor focusing on a particular industry sector, we will provide
you with a tailor-made programme.
For all of our clients,
regardless of size, we provide a reliable foundation that brings
in a regular flow of results. More than this, however, as a small,
experienced team, we go further to make sure that your voice will
be heard above the competition. We apply our collective expertise
to find new ways to hold the attention of the national, regional,
trade or social media that matter to you.
Media Relations

The media, whether print, online, broadcast or social,
are at the heart of most PR campaigns. At its most basic level,
our job is to make sure that your name is appearing in the right
media and in the right context. Any good PR agency should be investing
in its own relationships with the media, and in keeping up with
the current news agenda. At Fourth Day we all review the national
and trade media every morning, discussing stories that may provide
opportunities for our clients and looking out for new names
or new columns.
Our media relations campaigns
follow a set five-step structure; initial positioning and message
development, identification of target media, planning, outreach,
and measurement.
The tactics we use will vary according to the media and messages
but we pride ourselves on our ability to achieve outstanding results
for our clients even where corporate or product news stories or
media-friendly customers are unavailable.

Analyst Relations

For IT companies it is essential that the industry analysts
know about you – not only because they can have a direct influence
on potential customers, but because they are so frequently called
upon as pundits by the media. Analysts can also provide valuable
feedback about their perception of your products and about trends
and the “word on the street”. We work with the major
analysts in the technology sector as well as with some smaller,
specialist firms and plan our analyst relations programmes in a
similar way to our media relations. We will identify the key influencers
and brief them regularly to ensure that they understand your business
and market positioning, particularly when a relevant report is being
produced.

Internal communications

In the desire to reach your external audiences,
those closer to home are often forgotten. If your own employees
aren’t spreading the right message, you are wasting a huge
opportunity. We implement internal communications strategies on
a limited or grand scale to ensure that everyone within the organisation
feels valued and informed.

Other influencers

We do not confine ourselves to the media in our
communications programmes. For some of our clients, we conduct campaigns
aimed at professional bodies, civil servants or other advisors.
As our business involves meeting a wide range of people, we also
keep an eye out for opportunities to provide introductions which
may be helpful to our clients.

Copywriting

Fourth Day has a very strong copy writing team,
employing former journalists and professional copywriters on its
staff. This offers our clients an edge in terms of the press materials
we produce for them but also enables us to provide additional services
such as the writing of web copy and marketing materials.

Digital and Social Media

Fourth Day always takes digital channels into account
when planning a campaign. This might include Twitter, LinkedIn,
Facebook, FourSquare or the latest mobile apps. While some social
media channels will fall naturally into a wider campaign, we also
offer community building, SEO, managing blogs and Twitter feeds
and monitoring services.

Training

Whatever your level of experience, there is always
more that you can learn. For media interview techniques, an hour
or so with a working journalist can help you to hone your performance
and provides a useful practice ground for refreshing the delivery
of your messages. It can also help to hear from the horse’s
mouth the kind of information that today’s media require and
the new pressures that journalists are facing in terms of time and
resources. Fourth Day offers not only media training but also, for
smaller organisations or for those who are new to PR, regular “PR
Basics” workshops.

International

As well as our own office in Paris
, we have a network of partners
across the world. We frequently represent our clients in more than
one country, and offer translation and co-ordination services. We
also offer a “light” PR service in which we manage direct
contact with trade media in Europe from our London office.
